ABSTRACTS

Guidelines for abstract submission

The Spanish Society of Pharmacology (SEF) meeting is a unique event for pharmacologists to present emerging Science on drugs and drug development. SEF invites you to submit your abstract for the Congress. Please, read carefully the following points before submitting your abstract:

  • Only abstracts sent in the abstract form will be considered.
  • Select one of the “Main Topics” listed on page 2 of the abstract form.
  • All abstracts must be submitted only through e-mail to socesfar@socesfar.es.
  • DEADLINE for abstract submission is May 22nd, 2026.
  • The presenting author does not need to be the first author, but must be a listed author and his/her name underlined. Only one abstract for presenting author will be allowed.
  • Additionally, each registration allows for the submission of an abstract in the “Teaching Pharmacology” section.
  • The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and complete payment by June 15th, 2026, otherwise the abstract will not be published.
  • Upon abstract submission, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If not, please contact us to verify if your submission has been received correctly.
  • No modifications to the submitted abstracts will be made by the Organization.

Instructions for authors

Abstracts must be written in English and sent in the template available in the meeting webpage. Abstracts lacking the requested format will not be accepted for evaluation. Once accepted, both oral presentation or poster will be in English.
Send in the Abstract form.

TITLE: The title should be brief and clearly reflect the content of the abstract.

AUTHORS:

  • Name and surnames for every author must be provided in the following format: Name Surname (e.g., John Smith).
  • Do not include degrees or titles.
  • The name of the presenting author should be underlined in the abstract form. If an author appears on multiple abstracts, the name must be identical in every case.
  • For poster presentations, authors, mainly young researchers, may include a QR code with their CV next to their names.

AFFILIATIONS:

  • Each author should be listed by institution, city, and country.
  • Do not include department, division, laboratory, etc.
  • In abstracts where the authors have different affiliations, please indicate for each author the number of the corresponding affiliation.

TEXT:

  • It should not exceed one page including tables which must be in text format (not graphic format), references, and acknowledgements
  • Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted and will not be edited in any way.
  • Abbreviations should be kept to a minimum. Use standard abbreviations and generic drug names. Place unusual abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use.
  • Do NOT include author names or institutional affiliations in the abstract text.
  • The abstract should be as informative as possible, with conclusions supported by data.
  • If it is possible, use this structure (without the headings):
    ·   Background
    ·   Material and methods
    ·   Results
    ·   Conclusions

TOPICS

When you submit an abstract, select the topic of the list in page 2 of the Abstract form.

Presentation

  • A limited number of abstracts will be selected for Short Oral Presentations (10 min presentation + 5 min) within selected symposia.
  • The presenting author must be registered in the Congress.
  • Presentation details (session, date, time and format) will be sent at due time. 

Guidelines for Presentation

Authors must upload their presentations in advance in the Audiovisual Preview Room.

Poster Size

Posters should be 80 cm (width) × 110 cm (height)

Accepted abstracts

  • The registration fee must be received before June 15th, 2026, to confirm the inclusion in the programme. Abstracts will be removed if the presenting author does not register by this date.
  • Requests to substitute a presenting author after the submission deadline must be sent to: socesfar@socesfar.es
  • Programme and abstracts may be published in digital format via the conference website.
