GROUP OF “REGULATORY MECHANISMS OF CARDIOVASCULAR REMODELING”  (IRHSCSP)

The Group of Regulatory Mechanisms of Cardiovascular Remodeling at Institut de Recerca del Hospital de Sant Pau (IRHSCSP) seeks for a highly motivated posdoct researcher to join our group through a CIBERCV contract. The position involves working with a trans-disciplinary team of scientists studying the pathophysiological basis underlying atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases.

Our group has been pioneer involving new genes in endothelial activation and cardiovascular remodeling underlying atherosclerosis, cardiac hypertrophy and abdominal aortic aneurysm. Our studies are focused on the role of nuclear receptors and extracellular matrix modifying enzymes involved in the onset and progression of these diseases. The position involves working with transgenic animal models recently developed by our group, human samples and vascular cell cultures using molecular and cellular biology techniques.
