Dear colleagues,
It is a pleasure to invite you to the XLIII Annual Meeting of the Spanish Society of Pharmacology, which will take place from September 2nd to 4th, 2026, at Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid (ICOMEM), in Madrid, Spain.
As in previous editions, the meeting is expected to bring together a large number of pharmacologists, along with scientists and professionals from related disciplines such as medicine, pharmacy, biomedical sciences and chemistry.
We are currently preparing a diverse and engaging scientific program that will cover cutting-edge topics in pharmacology and therapeutics, featuring renowned keynote speakers, insightful panel discussions, and innovative research presentations, including symposia, oral presentations, and poster sessions.
Recognizing that the future of science depends on the next generation of researchers, this year’s conference will place a special emphasis on supporting early-career scientists. In order to encourage their participation through short research presentations, grants will be offered to help cover their expenses to attend the meeting.
The vibrant city of Madrid will provide an outstanding backdrop for this event. Its unique combination of historical heritage, cultural vitality, and modern infrastructure makes it an ideal place to host scientific exchange while also offering numerous opportunities for social interaction and networking.
Whether you are an established expert or a young researcher, we sincerely hope that this meeting will serve as a stimulating environment for sharing ideas, establishing new collaborations, and strengthening existing ones.

The 3rd Meeting on Translational Pharmacology / XLIII Annual Spanish Society of Pharmacology Meeting will take place at Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid (ICOMEM) (www.icomem.es), an historic, yet refurbished and and well-equipped venue, where Nobel Prize winner Santiago Ramón y Cajal used to teach.
This exceptional venue offers state-of-the-art facilities designed to host academic and professional events, ensuring a comfortable and engaging environment for all participants. Its city centre location, a few steps away from Atocha train station and served by metro and bus transport, facilitates connections from both outside and inside Madrid.

Beyond the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to explore at walking distance from the venue, first class museums, such as El Prado, Reina Sofía or Thyssen Bornemisza, as well as El Retiro park, the green heart of Madrid city.

The old arabic wall, the Royal Palace and the Royal Collections Gallery are must see locations for those willing to learn more about the history and heritage of the city.
